Morocco / Entry requirements

Our undergraduate requirements from Morocco depend on whether you have studied under the Moroccan or French system.

Applicants with Moroccan Baccalaureate

Due to differences in the Moroccan and UK education systems, applicants who have taken the Moroccan Baccalaureate will need to successfully complete a University-recognised foundation programme before joining an undergraduate course. Students who have achieved an overall grade of 16/20 or higher, with 16/20 or higher in Maths and Physics, would be considered for would be considered for the University’s Science and Engineering with an integrated foundation year programme. Applications for the University’s Biosciences with a foundation year programme would be considered following completion of the Moroccan Baccalaureate on case by case basis.

Students interested in Humanities and Social Sciences (including Management and Law), Biosciences, Pharmacy and Psychology and Engineering and Science may be eligible to apply for a foundation course at INTO Manchester run at INTO Manchester run in partnership with the University of Manchester. 

Applicants with Baccalaureate from French Schools in Morocco

Applicants completing the Diplôme du Baccalauréat Général or the Option Internationale du Baccalauréat (OIB) at a French school in Morocco can be considered for direct entry.

Students holding the following with an overall score of 13+/20 (bien/good) will be considered for entry to the first year of our undergraduate degree courses:

  • Baccalauréat Général
  • Baccalauréat Technologique (BTn)
  • Baccalauréat de l'Enseignement du Second Degr
  • Diplôme de l'Enseignement du Second Degr
  • Option International du Baccalauréat (OIB)

  • A*AA: 16 /20 overall
  • AAA: 15/20 overall
  • AAB: 14/20 overall
  • ABB: 13/20 overall

Option Internationale du Baccalauréat (OIB):

  • A*AA: 15/20 overall
  • AAA: 14/20 overall
  • AAB: 13/20 overall
  • ABB: 12/20 overall

Where compulsory or preferred individual subjects are required, we would expect applicants to be taking the most relevant Bac (for example, the Bac "S" for entry to science courses).
