Global Futures Scholarships 2025
The University of Manchester is proud to offer more than 330 awards to international students commencing their studies in September 2025. The total value of scholarships on offer will be over £4.5 million, and awards will be open to students from Taiwan applying for master’s degrees.
Master’s awards
The University of Manchester is pleased to offer merit-based master’s scholarships to prospective international students from a range of countries across the globe.
The value of the Global Futures Scholarships for students from Taiwan is £8,000; scholarships will be awarded in the form of an appropriate discount against published overseas tuition fees.
Please note the application form will only be made to you once you have applied and been made an offer.
The scholarships of £8,000 will be awarded based on academic excellence and the quality of your responses in the online application form.

- Applications will be considered from international fee-paying students domiciled in Taiwan.
- Applicants for the awards must hold a conditional or unconditional offer to study a full-time on-campus Master’s course at The University of Manchester that starts in September 2025, and must submit an online scholarship application form by 24 April 2025. The application form will be emailed to all eligible offer-holders.
- Applicants will be considered for the award based on academic merit and the quality of their scholarship application.
- Applicants must be self-funded (not sponsored).
- Applicants for MBA, MPhil, Master of Architecture (MArch), Architecture and Urbanism (MA), Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA), Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), Clinical Medicine and Dentistry degrees are not eligible for the award.
- Applicants who have studied a bachelor’s degree outside of Taiwan are not eligible for the award.
- Applicants for blended and distance learning programmes are not eligible for the award.

For PhDs, the University offers a number of competitive bursaries via individual Schools and research groups for well-qualified candidates. Please check with your prospective academic School for details, in addition to the University’s postgraduate research funding database.
