Global Futures Scholarships 2025

The University of Manchester is proud to offer more than 330 awards to international students commencing their studies in September 2025. The total value of scholarships offered will be over £4.5 million, and awards will be open to prospective bachelor’s and master’s students.

Undergraduate awards

The University of Manchester is proud to offer more than 100 merit-based undergraduate scholarships of £24,000 to international students from a selection of countries across the globe.

The Global Futures Scholarships for North America are open to applicants domiciled in Canada.

Please note the application form will only be made available to you once you have applied and/or received an offer.

If you apply before the UCAS Equal Consideration Deadline (29 January 2025) you will be sent an application once you have applied. If you apply after this date, you must be holding an offer by 12 March to receive the application form from us.

Master's awards

The University of Manchester is proud to offer over 100 merit-based master’s scholarships to prospective international students from a range of countries across the globe.

The value of The Global Futures Scholarships for Canadian students is £8,000; scholarships will be awarded in the form of a discount on published overseas tuition fees.

Within North America, the awards are open to applicants domiciled in the following countries: Canada and the United States

If you apply before 31 January 2025 you will be sent an application once you have applied. If you apply after this date, you must be holding an offer by 12 March to receive the application form from us.

The Canadian Centennial Scholarship fund provides awards to Canadian students enrolled in a postgraduate programme at UK universities. More information is available on the Canadian Centennial Scholarship website.

The Government of Canada also has scholarships available.

Some of our Schools will offer small scholarships or bursaries; however, these do not usually cover the full cost of tuition and living expenses. Details will be advertised on the relevant School website if they are available.

The University of Manchester is recognised for Provincial Student Loans, so you should be able to transfer local funding to study in the UK. Check with your local Provincial Student Loan authority to confirm, or email the University at:
